Add three more recordings from the Petty Studios in Clovis, NM - the boppers, "Silly Lily" and "I've Had It" and Peanuts great reading of the Roy Orbison ballad, "Paper Boy" and you have a four-track, four-star EP collection. Many musicians and fans in Texas regarded Johnny as more likely to succeed than the other vocalist in the Teen Kings, Roy Orbison, but he didn't get the lucky breaks and he didn't get to record solo at Sun in Memphis and Monument in Nashville. But he did go on to become a prolific and hit songwriter in later years. The picture sleeve EP includes extensive notes by John Ingman. Better buy two - these things start to wear out after about 10,000 plays....
