ROLL 2013 Something Special From Buddy Holly ..................This 12" vinyl album was released for the first time in September 1986. It contained, for the first time, undubbed versions of demo tapes made by Buddy Holly, Jerry Allison and others in 1956. Dubbed versions had been issued in the 60s and the undubbed tape was discovered in Dallas, Texas by Crickets fan Steve Bonner. A licensing deal was struck between Rollercoaster and MCA Records for a short-term release. Only 2000 copies were pressed and nearly all were sold fairly quickly. The album has since been bootlegged on many different labels. When the album was made available we provided copies on 'sale or return' to various dealers and distributors and recently were surprised to be sent back a box of these LPs which had remained unsold. All are in mint condition. This album is highly rated by collectors so if you don't have a copy please do not delay as supplies are very limited. Tracks.......................
